2015 Dogwood was a huge success. We had an amazing turnout, 240 people came out to play, and most of them did the Dirty. The youngest was 3 years old and the oldest was 72. Huge thanks to all of the volunteers!
COURSE DETAILS – RUN / WALK
The Dogwood 5k has been around for decades, a great way to kick off the Dogwood Festival. The race is now organized by the Dansville Fitness Club and benefits the American Legion (Daniel Goho, Post 87). The race begins and ends in front of their building on 34 Elizabeth St. The Course runs through and around the village of Dansville with only one hill (it’s short, but memorable). This year the race will be electronically timed by Score This. The goal of this race is to promote community spirit, so teams are encouraged. Get your family, get your friends, get your coworkers together and enjoy the event as a team.
OBSTACLE AND MUD RUN “DIRTY DOGWOOD”
We add obstacles and mud to the course, although it follows the same route, it is a completely different experience. All obstacles are optional and geared towards fun (nothing too crazy). We’ve got something for everyone, from kids to grandparents. The goal of this race is to promote community spirit, so teams are encouraged. Get your family, get your friends, get your coworkers together and enjoy the event as a team. We will have awards for the Dirty Dogwood for the first time this year.
The standard 5k deal. Chip timed for accuracy and awards post race.
No running allowed for this group. If you plan to mix walking and running or jogging then please sign up for the run. If you choose to walk, then walking is all you are allowed to do. There are some competitors out there that do some serious walking and we want to provide them with an event to test themselves.
